Rhinoplasty

Surgery to reshape the nose, (rhinoplasty) is among the most common plastic surgery procedures. This procedure can reduce or increase the size of the nose, remove an unwanted hump, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the width of the nostrils, or change the angle between the nose and the upper lip. The procedure is also used to correct problems resulting from injury and can help relieve certain breathing difficulties.

 Blepharoplasty

Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is designed to remove excess skin and fat from the upper and lower eyelids. The procedure can correct drooping upper lids that tend to sag with time and the puffy bags below the eyes.  Blepharoplasty can be done as a single procedure, or in conjunction with other facial surgery such as a facelift or a browlift.

 Face Lift

Over time, the long-term effects of gravity, exposure to sun, dry air, and general stress takes its toll on an individual's face and neckline. Jowls can develop under the jawline with folds and fat deposits. Sometimes creases begin to form between the nose and the mouth.

A facelift can considerably reduce these signs of aging by tightening the underlying tissues, and redraping the skin around the neck and face. Facelifts can be done alone, or frequently performed in conjunction with another procedure such as a browlift, eyelid surgery, or nose reshaping.

 Browlift

A forehead lift or "browlift" is used to correct a drooping browline (eyebrow area) reducing the horizontal lines and furrows (worry lines) that often make a person appear angry, sad or tired. The procedure creates a refreshed, youthful appearance to the forehead area above the eyes.

The procedure is done endoscopically, using small lighted telescopes through incisions located above the hairline.  Combined with botox , the effect is a revitalized refreshing look.

 Otoplasty

Otoplasty is the procedure performed to improve the protruding ear. Although more commonly performed for children who have reached 5 or 6 years of age, it can also be performed on adults. It is best to wait until the age of 5 or 6 to allow for maximal growth of the ear while minimizing ridicule by the child's peers. The surgery is performed under general anesthesia in children and local anesthesia in adults. Expected recovery time is 1 week, followed by approximately 2 weeks of light activity. Computerized photographic imaging illustrates the potential outcome.

 BOTOX®

BOTOX Cosmetic® (Botulinum toxin A) injections are used to diminish fine wrinkles between the eyebrows, as well as to lessen the appearance of crow's feet. BOTOX®, an FDA-approved agent, inhibits the function of the muscles that cause the wrinkles, causing a smoothing of the skin, and elimination of wrinkles in many patients. The injections are not permanent. They usually last about 3 to 4 months, although with repeated treatments, they can sometimes last for 6 months. BOTOX® treatments can be combined with other modalities such as chemical peels or laser resurfacing to improve results in the region between the eyebrows. For patients with fine wrinkles, results can be seen soon after injection.

 Injectable Fillers

Full and vivacious lips have always been recognized as aesthetically important features. Some of us however, are born with thin, ill-defined lips. But the appearance of our lips is now within our control.

Fine lines and wrinkles, thin lips and a drooping corner of the mouth are all areas that can be aided with injectable fillers such as collagen. The market is ever changing, with new products appearing rapidly. Care is individualized to provide a safe and effective treatment option.

 Laser Resurfacing

Also known as "laser peel," laser skin resurfacing usually takes less than 1½ hours (sometimes just a few minutes) depending on the size of the area being treated.  The procedure uses a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser beam which vaporizes the upper layers of damaged skin at controlled levels of penetration. Also used is Erbium Laser beam.

The procedure removes areas of damaged or wrinkled skin often caused by prolonged sun exposure.  Laser resurfacing can minimize the appearance of fine lines around the mouth and the eyes and is also effective in treating facial scars and skin areas with uneven pigmentation.

 Dermabrasion

The M.D.A. Microdermabrasion system works by pumping minute crystals through a glass hand-piece onto the skin's surface.  The fine crystal mist gently refines the epidermal layer leaving the skin smooth and more youthful.  Dermabrasion has been used in the medical industry for with great success. Micro-dermabrasion has been introduced to allow the beauty therapist to bridge the gap between beauty salon and the dermatologist clinic.  In just one treatment the M.D.A. visibly refines and polishes the surface of the skin.  And what's more, the technique stimulates the micro-circulation to promote a healthy new layer of skin.
